This brooch has been inspired by the' aigrette', an antique piece of jewelry, usually worn on the head, composed of a spray of feathers, or feather motifs. This piece is composed of a large rosequartz cabochon, on top of which a tapered emerald has been mounted. The deep-green emerald is set in gold, and from this setting radiate three silver wires, with interchangable pearl drops. the drops swing with every movement of the wearer.
