A monster's face has been carved from the polished chrysoprase pebble, baring it's teeth. The eye sockets have been set with cabochon-cut sapphires. The creature is set in an ornate silver mount. A hand-carved nephrite jade link connects the pendant to the brooch fitting. The top-most part is designed as a double spiral, with a carved coral and emerald cabochon in the center. A hidden aventurine-quartz cabochon decorates the back of the jewel.
