An enormous, delicate brooch. The focal point of this jewel is the central emerald, of 12.90 ct., from Zambia. This stone forms the body of a dragonfly, made in platinum and 18 carat yellow gold. The tail is made from emerald beads, and the wings are hand carved from agate. The thinness of the stone allows light to pass through, creating a very delicate feel. The eyes are grey akoya pearls. The animal stands on its platinum legs, to which the 18 carat gold brooch pin is attached.
