This emerald, carved in the style of the Mughal dynasty in India, is the star of this jewel. the stone weighs an impressive 19,70 carats, and is a very fine green colour. The semerald is set in gold claws, in a setting which has been inlaid into a piece of onyx. The dark, smooth surface of the onyx contrasts the vibrantly green and carved center stone. The back of the pendant is very ornate, with a pierced design of scrolling vines and leaves. Two simple gold loops allow for it to be worn on a necklace.
